wheredidyoubuythat.com was first launched, too much acclaim, in January 2000. It was voted "best web site of the week" by The Independent and comments such as "verging on retail porn" were used by the press. Unfortunately for some this was around the time that the dot com bubble was about to burst. It is said that only the successful dot com companies have survived to this day.
Unlike many e commerce sites wheredidyoubuythat.com has a fully stocked warehouse based in Bristol. We also have our own team of web developers working on a daily basis updating and servicing the site. This is to make sure that your shopping experience is simple and hassle free.
This web site has a large database behind it to ensure you are informed immediately if any product is out of stock and when it will be due in, any changes in specification of any product and you can even track the progress of your order from the shelf to the dispatch area and on through the UPS and Royal Mail tracking systems. We are committed to making your shopping experience a memorable one.
The Founder of wheredidyoubuythat.com Di Overton was named as one of the top 100 people in the UK for promoting and developing e-commerce over the last decade. And was nominated to attend An Internet Decade, an event to recognise the contribution of 100 individuals for their input and influence on the development and growth of e-commerce and the internet in the UK over the last 10 years.
Addressing the champagne reception at St Martin's Lane Hotel, Covent Garden, London, was Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt; Brent Hoberman of lastminute.com and Sir Tim Berners-Lee, regarded by many as the father of the internet.
wheredidyoubuythat.com is now part of BODIEANDFOU.COM a French lifestyle and designer home accessories founded by two French sisters. Both sisters have always admired Di's achievements and acquiring wheredidyoubuythat.com was a natural step for them to consolidate their portfolio of online home accessories companies and widen their product offer to an international design-savvy customer base.
